Confidence at the helm starts here. The “She’s the Captain” boating course by MJM Yachts is coming to Michigan, with Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales hosting two hands-on sessions focused on docking, boat handling, and real-world skills. Each session runs in small groups (up to 6) with on-the-water instruction, giving you the time and space to actually build confidence behind the wheel.

Each class runs in 2-hour increments, starting at 10AM.

Leading the course is Lauren Warren, a 100-ton licensed captain with over 20 years of experience.
Growing up on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, Captain Lauren turned her passion into a career, founding the Upper Chesapeake Boat School to help others feel more comfortable and capable on the water. She’s known for her calm, approachable teaching style and her ability to make docking and close-quarters maneuvering feel far less intimidating.
Students often leave her courses not just more knowledgeable, but genuinely excited to get back out and practice.
