The MJM 38RS is a new 38'6" sportfishing/cruising cross-over yacht built on the 38R platform and designed to deliver serious fish-ability in luxury and comfort only MJM can provide. Without giving up MJM’s protected 360-degree pilothouse and weekender comforts, the 38RS has plenty of features that serious anglers will gush over. Power options include twin Mercury 300 or 400‑hp outboards that propel the 38RS to projected top speeds of more than 43 knots. A shallow draft expands your range to skinny‑water spots, while an optional Seakeeper 3 helps keep everyone on board comfortable during a light chop. A galley‑up pilothouse with large sliding side windows pairs with a belowdecks accommodations that feature a convertible V‑berth and a separate stand‑alone shower. The boat is built with MJMs lightweight, post‑cured epoxy C5 composite process for excellent fuel efficiency and a smooth ride.
Anglers will like how the 38RS turns the whole aft deck into a clean, workable cockpit. Can you imagine fishing a tournament in comfort, luxury, and with MJM’s classic lines? The twin transom doors open against the gunwales to extend the fishing area while a 40‑gallon island live-well (with an 800‑gph recirculating pump and curved sides) keeps bait lively. The twin insulated in‑sole fish boxes hold the day’s catch and there’s stowage for up to 12 rods (hardtop, in‑gunwale, and around the live-well).
