Viking Yacht Company President and CEO Pat Healey receives one of sportfishingโ€™s highest honors during an exciting stretch for Viking Yachts.

Congratulations to our longtime friend and partner, Pat Healey on his induction into the 2026 International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame, the IGFAโ€™s highest distinction.

Pat Healey Honored by the IGFA

The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) recognized Healey for his leadership across sportfishing, conservation and the marine industry, as well as his longstanding commitment to sustainable fisheries and angler access.

Healeyโ€™s influence reaches well beyond Viking Yacht Company. Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for the marine industry and recreational fishing, playing an active role in fisheries policy and conservation. IGFA highlighted his involvement in the repeal of the 1991 Luxury Tax, work surrounding the Magnuson-Stevens Act, support of science-based fisheries management and early advocacy for the use of circle hooks. He is also an accomplished angler, earning three International Masters Angling Tournament championships along with honors including the John Rybovich Award, Marlin magazineโ€™s Person of the Year award and the IGFA Gilbert Keech Heavy-Tackle Award.

Healey was inducted alongside Roy Cronacher, Tom Davidson, Captain Ralph Delph and the late Jose Wejebe as part of the 2026 class. The ceremony took place August 29 at Johnny Morrisโ€™ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, Missouri.

โ€œPat Healeyโ€™s recognition by the IGFA is an incredibly well-deserved honor and a testament to the impact he has had on sportfishing and our industry. JBYS has been fortunate to share a long relationship with Pat, the Healey family and Viking Yacht Company, and weโ€™ve seen firsthand the passion, leadership and commitment to excellence that Pat brings to everything he does. His influence extends well beyond building exceptional boatsโ€”he has helped shape the sport and the industry we all love. Weโ€™re incredibly proud to see our longtime friend and partner receive this prestigious recognition.โ€
