More Than Just A Yacht Delivery

Join us as we recount an unforgettable journey on the Sea Ray 420 Sundancer around the top of the Mitten. A truly incredible trip with many stops along the way!

Holland, MI

We set sail from Holland on a Tuesday afternoon. Known for its charming Dutch heritage and picturesque views, Holland is a perfect starting point. The city’s windmills and tulip gardens waved us goodbye as we embarked on our adventure.

Ludington, MI

Our first night was spent in Ludington, a quaint lakeside town brimming with charm. The weather was “sporty,” making for an exhilarating ride. We docked near the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse and enjoyed a sunset that painted the sky orange and pink. The S.S. Badger car ferry was a sight to see, offering a nostalgic glimpse into Great Lakes maritime history.

Leland, MI (Fishtown)

The next day took us to Leland, affectionately known as Fishtown. This historic fishing village is like stepping back in time, with its weathered shanties, smokehouses, and charter boats. We couldn’t resist the fresh catch of the day from the local fish market. Wandering through the quaint shops and tasting the local delicacies made this stop unforgettable.

Mackinac Island

Cruising through the crystal-clear waters around Mackinac Island was a surreal experience. With water so clear you can see the pebbles on the lakebed, it felt like gliding over a giant aquarium. We passed under the Mackinac Bridge, a true marvel of engineering. Check out the island’s car-free streets, historic sites and the fudge is legendary – a must-try!

Presque Isle, MI

We spent our second night in the serene haven of Presque Isle. The lighthouse provided a stunning backdrop for the sunset. The night was calm and peaceful, perfect for stargazing. This place is a hidden gem, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.

Fort Gratiot Lighthouse

Our final scenic stop was the historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, just north of Port Huron. This lighthouse, Michigan’s oldest, stands as a sentinel at the entrance to the St. Clair River. Its rich history and the stunning view of Lake Huron were the perfect final highlights before the last leg of our journey.

Grosse Pointe Shores, MI

We arrived at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club on Thursday evening, concluding an epic 200-mile final stretch. The club’s elegant facilities and warm welcome made for a fitting end to our voyage. What an incredible journey it was!

The Sea Ray 420 Sundancer is equipped with luxurious amenities, advanced navigation systems, and powerful engines, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable voyage. This boat combines comfort with high performance, making every moment on the water memorable.
