There are scholarship opportunities and career days ahead with the Recreational Boating Industries Educational Foundation

Boating season in Michigan is over, but there are tons of opportunities when it comes to awesome, full-time, well-paying careers in the boating industry that last all year round. These boating industry careers cross many other industries including technicians, electricians, HVAC, fiberglass repair, marketing, sales, finance, and more. Workforce development is the #1 goal of the RBIEF through career awareness, building great educational opportunities, helping students and schools succeed, and connecting students to careers in the industry.

The RBIEF Foundation provides scholarships and educational programs to students who will be enrolled in any accredited university or college and those who may not be planning on traditional college and are leaning more towards marine tech training. The RBIEF Foundation has awarded over $400,000 in scholarships since its inception in 1987. It is never too late to dive into potential careers in our industry, but the deadline to apply for this year’s scholarship is May 1, 2024, for the fall semester of 2024. The Foundation will base its decision on academic accomplishment, short essay, and career path value to the boating industry. Recipients will be announced in June 2024.
